Overview

A local for over a decade with a passion for the area, I have invested in the future growth and success of Brisbane’s West through the establishment of my own mortgage broking business as well as the purchase of my home and investment properties.

I have over 11 years experience in the finance industry and since specialising in home loan lending in 2003 have assisted local borrowers to secure over $250 million in finance for residential and investment property purchases.

Specialty - first home buyers

I live and work in an area which is great for first home buyers, far enough out to not attract inner-city prices but still very accessible through good road and rail links. There are still some very affordable properties available in the area and because of this, about 70 per cent of my customers are first home buyers.

I approach the home loan process in a way that removes the jargon and leaves first home buyers with a good understanding of the steps involved in securing a home loan. This involves thoroughly explaining what they should expect at each stage and preparing them to meet each requirement in plenty of time.

I assist first home buyers to complete and submit their First Home Owners’ Grant application, and can explain the intricacies of concessions and exemptions on stamp duty.

There are many occasions where I have been able to assist customers with purchasing their first home by not only sourcing a home loan, but also saving them money on fees, costs and mortgage insurance premiums. Just paying monthly loan repayments in fortnightly installments will save borrowers thousands, it’s surprising not only how many first home buyers aren’t aware of this, but also how many seasoned veterans.

Specialty - self-employed borrowers and complex financial situations

I have a strong background in finance and am adept at understanding and analysing Profit and Loss statements to maximise your borrowing power. My skills are an essential tool for self-employed borrowers and those with complex financial situations who are looking to secure a loan at a good rate and terms.

I also have a thorough knowledge of Trusts gained through both personal and professional experience, and am well-practiced at working through complex breakdowns to assist you with your lending requirements. I will work with your accountant, financial planner and/or solicitor to ensure your loan structure complements your whole financial strategy and goals.

Specialty - new arrivals and expatriates

The borrowing process can differ significantly in Australia to other countries and many new arrivals who do not yet have residency status experience difficulty in understanding the process and obtaining the right home loan. I have excellent knowledge of the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) process for purchasing property in Australia.

I specialise in removing the confusion new arrivals feel when trying to purchase their first home and manage the home loan process on my customers’ behalf to ensure their application proceeds through the approval process without delays.

Expatriate Australians love to invest in property on home soil but many feel the process of securing finance with a local lender using overseas income is difficult to navigate. I make this process easier by assisting you to prepare all required documentation upfront and providing an experienced point of contact for both you and your bank.
