Overview
I live and work in a major growth area in Brisbane’s west, which provides fantastic opportunities for people who are looking to buy to find a good, affordable property. The local council in Ipswich, in conjunction with a range of major property developers, has put together an excellent plan involving a number of different master-planned communities including Springfield Lakes, Brookwater, Augustine Heights, Brentwood Estate, Collingwood Park, as well as extensive redevelopments and improvements across the Ipswich council area that have made existing suburbs more attractive as well.A mortgage broker with strong real estate experience
I have had experience in the real estate industry as a sales agent for Ray White Logan City, and have maintained an excellent understanding of the processes involved in buying and selling property, including signing contracts, doing building and pest inspections and obtaining finance. What’s more, I have extensive links with some of the area’s best real estate agents, so I can not only help ensure your finance works within the real estate process, but I can help you find the right real estate agent for your property search or sale.
A sense of community
Loan Market has a strong sense of community and we aim to help out wherever we can. I have sponsored a hole at our local golf club, Wolston Park Golf Club, where I am also a member. For any business that arises from the sponsored hole, I pay a proportion back into the club to assist in building new paths around the golf course.
First home buyers
Brisbane’s west is great for first home buyers, far enough out to not attract inner-city prices but still very accessible through good road and rail links. There are still some very affordable properties available in the area, both existing and as house and land packages, and because of this about 70 per cent of my customers are first home buyers.
I approach the home loan process in a way that removes the jargon and leaves first home buyers with a good understanding of the steps involved in securing a home loan. This involves thoroughly explaining what they should expect at each stage and preparing them to meet each requirement in plenty of time.
I assist first home buyers to complete and submit their First Home Owners’ Grant application, and can explain the intricacies of concessions and exemptions on stamp duty.
There are many occasions where I have been able to assist customers with purchasing their first home by not only sourcing a home loan, but also saving them money on fees, costs and mortgage insurance premiums. Just paying monthly loan repayments in fortnightly instalments may save borrowers thousands, it’s surprising not only how many first home buyers aren’t aware of this, but also how many seasoned veterans.
Self-employed borrowers and complex financial situations
As a mortgage broker with a strong background in finance and a solid understanding of Profit and Loss statements, I am adept at assisting self-employed borrowers to find the right loan and maximise their borrowing power. These skills are an essential tool for self-employed borrowers and those with complex financial situations who are looking to secure a loan at a good interest rate and terms.
Construction loans
Construction Loans can be very complex, but with many developing communities in Brisbane’s west these are now quite a common way of financing a new property. A construction loan can provide you with the freedom to purchase land and then build, or a house and land package, and be part of this vibrant, growing region. I can assist in all facets of construction loans, including ensuring your loan is structured correctly, making sure your builder is paid on time and most importantly, that you can move in to your home in a timely manner.
